PYXIS: Integral shaft for Military vessel system

Study of an integrated shaft (MAST) for military vessel systems aimed at reducing current conflicts between equipment (antennas and sensors), improving general performance by resolving numerous technical problems. The project will overcome the current compromise between equipment in favour of a more modern and competitive design approach, not based on compromise and in line with external strategies.
The main issues addressed will be:
- Integration of the shaft into the platform (space, structural strength, electrical absorption, heat dissipation, fluid-dynamic compatibility of structure and gases)
- Mutual electromagnetic interference
- Compliance with electromagnetic signature (RCS) requirements
- Electromechanical interference between shaft wiring and all other platform systems.
